Admissions Modalities

The Ins tute shall be open to persons of any gender, and of whatever race, creed,
caste or class, and no test or condi on shall be imposed as to religious belief or
profession in admi ng students. No student shall be part of any other programme(s),
be it of the Ins tute or otherwise, concurrently. The Ins tute may deny admission to
a person who has either been rus cated, debarred, or expelled, by a competent
authority from an academic programme of any ins tute or university. Admission of a
student to the Programme can be cancelled if the student has either failed to meet
any requirement or has failed to submit authen c copies of the qualifying
degree/provisional cer ficate and such other documents as required by the
Programme and within the prescribed melines.

The competent authority may also cancel the admission of any student at any later
me if it is found that the student had submi ed false informa on or suppressed
some relevant informa on while seeking admission. The Ins tute reserves the right
to change, modify, redefine or adopt any new admission criteria/requirements from
me to me. PhD admissions process will be no fied on the admissions webpage
year to year. IIMV strongly encourages applica ons from candidates of socially
backward communi es (SC, ST, NC-OBC,EWS) as well as Persons with Disabili es, Admission Prerequisites
who comply with the legal requirements in this regard, as prescribed in law.
Admission Tests

Candidates require a valid test score, from any one of the acceptable tests for the area(s) of
specialisa on they are applying to, as shown in the following table:

Management

All candidates should mandatorily submit the test score, which should be valid as on March 15, 2019,
along with the applica on.

a. Applicants op ng for GMAT or GRE should upload a copy of their official scores along with the
applica on. Applicants who have not received the official scorecard, should upload the TEST TAKER
COPY along with the applica on, but submit the OFFICIAL SCORECARD before the interviews.
b. Applicants op ng for Common Admission Test (CAT 2018) should provide their CAT 2018
registra on number in the applica on. The CAT 2018 scores made available to IIMV will be used in
the assessment of the applica on.
c. Applicants op ng for GATE or JRF (NET) score should upload their valid SCORE CARD along with
the applica on.
