Chairperson’s
Message
The Institute witnessed many important milestones being
crossed, in its path of rapid progress over the past five years.
The various initiatives of the Institute are well thought-through
and are being supported by a discerning Board of Governors.
The Institute has come to be acknowledged as special in many
ways and as first-mover on many fronts, maintaining a distinct
lead in the comity of its peers. The Director and his team of
teaching and non-teaching staff deserve compliments for their
efforts in building IIMV as a fine institution.
With a bouquet of programs in management education and
research that address the needs of aspirants, young as well as
experienced, the Institute is walking the extra-mile, in building
managerial talent endowed with the right mix of topical con-
tent and contemporary practice.
With students (33% girls) representing about 22 states and
faculty (33% women) representing about 14 states, the Institute
has come to represent the national character and diversity in
true sense and spirit.
The permanent campus of the Institute, expected to be ready for
occupation by the end of 2021, would be a future-proof, energy-effi-
cient and water-positive campus with ambience and aesthetics of
global standards. It is envisaged that the campus would be a legend-
ary landmark.
The Central and State Governments continue to contribute signifi-
cantly to the smooth functioning of the Institute. We are grateful to
them for the enabling autonomy and encouraging support they
have been extending for the rapid growth of the Institute.
I am positive, the goodwill that the Institute earned over the past
five years in the government, business and the society at large will
stand it in good stead, as it rededicates itself to achieving the objects
set out in the IIM Act 2017, with sincerity of purpose and a deep
sense of commitment.
