28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) inaugurated, IIM Visakhapatnam as Knowledge Partner
The two-day 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) was inaugurated today in Visakhapatnam, with IIM Visakhapatnam as the Knowledge Partner for the landmark conference. Themed “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation”, the conference brings together policymakers, civil servants, industry leaders, and innovators to share insights, success stories, and strategies for advancing citizen-centric governance.
Delivering the inaugural address, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, emphasized his vision to position Andhra Pradesh as a leader in digital transformation. He highlighted initiatives such as Mana Mitra and the vision to create Quantum Valley, reiterating that the state will play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The inaugural session also featured an address by Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and DG, NIC, Government of India; a welcome address by Shri Kaveti Vijayanand, Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh; and a special address by Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India.
On the sidelines of the event, stalls and exhibitions showcased initiatives in digital governance. IIM Visakhapatnam highlighted its extensive contributions to capacity building over the years, including programs in digital governance, application of AI/ML for Digital India, IT project management, large-scale digital transformation projects, public procurement, and data analytics for decision-making. The Institute also showcased its Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (2019–2021).
These initiatives have been undertaken in collaboration with the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Department of Personnel & Training, and the Ministry of Finance.
The 28th NCeG promises to be a landmark platform for deliberation, knowledge-sharing, and recognition of best practices in e-Governance. As the Knowledge Partner, IIM Visakhapatnam continues to play a vital role in strengthening the nation’s digital governance ecosystem.
