Inauguration of CVC-supported Program on Public Procurement - 12.10.2023
The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam inaugurates CVC-supported program on Public Procurement. The program commenced on 11th October at its Andhra University Campus. This program aims to train the officials to enhance their efficiency in the procurement process in their respective working organizations. A diverse range of 33 participants from all public sectors of India are participating in this Public Procurement Program.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Shri Saurabh Prasad, IRSME, DRM – Waltair Division, Indian Railways, praised the commitment of IIMV in providing superior academic services. He added that the program on the CVC Public Procurement will be highly beneficial in terms of a better understanding of procurement services. He said that since the participants come from diverse backgrounds and have a wide range of experiences in these procurement activities, the interactive sessions will enable shared learning. He shared several anecdotes about how procurement activities happen in real-world scenarios. He wished IIMV management and added that being a new generation IIM, it is doing remarkably well by offering such programs for working professionals.
Prof. M.V. Anuradha (Dean Administration) welcomed the participants and briefly introduced the institute and the programs offered. She shared that the institute's objective is to nurture entrepreneurial leaders who can efficiently manage the organization where they are placed. She added that the learning from the program will play a vital role in upgrading their skills as officers.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Prof. S. Chatterjee (Program Director) expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and faculty members for attending the inaugural event.
