IIM Vishakhapatnam concludes its PG Certificate program in “Advanced Financial Management”
Visakhapatnam, 16th November 2025: IIM Visakhapatnam has successfully completed the 11 Month PG Certificate program in Advanced Financial Management. The PG certificate program offers a rigorous curriculum, covering contemporary financial concepts as well as the application of artificial intelligence in finance, preparing participants for the multifaceted demands of modern finance roles. The program aims to bridge knowledge and application, equipping learners to adapt and thrive in evolving business environments.
Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director IIMV in his address during the event highlighted the importance of innovation and data-driven decision-making in finance. He underscored the idea that knowledge alone is insufficient; true value lies in applying what is learned to solve real-world challenges. This approach cultivates actionable insights and meaningful organisational impact.
Valedictory Address was given by Shri A Venkat Ramu Garu, Ex-MD and CEO of India Post Payment Bank. He advocated for digital transformation in finance. He emphasized that adapting to technological change is essential for both organizations and finance professionals. Advancement in corporate finance requires strong interpersonal skills, effective negotiation, and proficiency in people management. Shri Ramu Ji noted that communication, process management, and collaboration across disciplines have become vital skill sets. Isolated expertise and individual achievement are no longer sufficient; success depends on a holistic, integrated approach underpinned by data foundation. He stated that modern CFOs are increasingly transitioning toward CEO roles, reflecting the expanding scope and strategic influence of finance leaders.
Program Director Prof. Shalini Agnihotri congratulated all the participants for successful completion of the course. She gave an overview about the program and details about capstone projects done by the participants.
Program Co-Director Prof. M. Shameem Jawed congratulated all participants of the program. He emphasized that the program is designed to cultivate well-rounded leaders who are prepared to excel in the evolving finance landscape.
