Observance of Anti-Ragging Day & Week at IIM Visakhapatnam
National Anti-Ragging Day was observed at the Institute on 12th August 2025 with students taking the Anti-Ragging Oath, marking the commencement of Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August 2025.
Prof. Vijay Marisetty, Dean (Academics) and Chair of Anti-Ragging Committee of the Institute, addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of awareness. He also pointed the provisions of the Regulations on ‘What Constitutes Ragging’ and outlined the punishments to the violators prescribed under UGC norms. The students attended the campaign undertook to be abide by the provisions of the Regulations.
As we observe Anti-Ragging Week, we urge every member of our community to actively participate in awareness activities and help spread the message.
On this occasion, the student representatives also reaffirmed our collective commitment to carrying forward the message of safety, respect, and unity.
Institute planned various activities during this week to engage students in spreading the message.
