IIM Visakhapatnam Concludes Executive Programme on Advanced Strategic Human Resource Management
The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) marked the successful conclusion of its flagship Executive Certificate Programme in Advanced Strategic Human Resource Management (ASHRM) with a virtual Valedictory Function held on June 8, 2025. The event celebrated the achievements of participants from across the country who completed the intensive, six-month, 70-hour online programme designed to empower HR professionals with strategic and analytical capabilities.
The ASHRM programme was jointly directed by Prof. Bishakha Majumdar and Prof. Amit Baran Chakrabarti, and marketed by Uptop Careers, a prominent platform for executive education. The programme commenced on December 29, 2024, and was conducted entirely online, combining live interactive sessions, applied project work, and hands-on exposure to tools such as SPSS and Excel for HR Analytics.
Designed for HR professionals navigating the complexities of Industry 4.0, the programme offered deep insights into strategic alignment between human resource practices and organizational goals. The curriculum covered areas such as Digital Talent Management, HR Analytics, Design Thinking, Compensation Strategy, and Sustainable HRM.
The valedictory event featured final project presentations, reflective evaluations, and addresses by programme faculty. The function was graced by Prof. M.V. Anuradha, Chairperson, Executive Education Programmes at IIM Visakhapatnam, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her address, she noted, “Strategic HR capabilities are no longer optional—they are essential for building future-ready organizations. I congratulate all participants for their commitment to upskilling and IIMV for pioneering such timely and relevant offerings.”
Participants expressed appreciation for the programme’s rigor and practical relevance, particularly highlighting the real-world application of analytics and the integration of emerging HR trends.
With the successful completion of ASHRM’s first cohort, IIM Visakhapatnam reaffirms its commitment to providing high-impact executive education that meets the evolving needs of industry professionals.
