IIM Visakhapatnam Inaugurates Senior Management Program Batch 06
The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam inaugurated the sixth batch of the Senior Management Program (SMP), welcoming 81 participants to a yearlong learning journey. The cohort brings with it an average work experience of around 20 years, representing a diverse range of industries and leadership roles.
During the inaugural session, Prof. Sushil Kumar, Program Director, welcomed the participants and highlighted how the program is designed to foster continuous learning and strategic leadership transformation. He emphasized the importance of unlearning and relearning as integral aspects of effective leadership.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Shri Chiranjiv Choudhary, IFS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Food Processing Industries, Industries and Commerce Department, Andhra Pradesh. He spoke about innovation as the hallmark of the future, the importance of continuous learning, and adaptability as a leadership trait. He also underscored the need for curiosity-led innovation and humility in today’s dynamic environment.
Prof. Pooja Kumari, Program Co-Director, delivered the Vote of Thanks, extending her gratitude to all participants, dignitaries, and faculty, and expressing special gratitude to Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, for his leadership and guidance.
The Senior Management Program, in association with Accredian, is curated for seasoned professionals and accomplished leaders, aiming to enhance their strategic acumen and leadership excellence in an ever-evolving business landscape. The program comprises twelve modules, delivered through a blended format of online sessions complemented by two campus immersions at IIM Visakhapatnam.
