3rd Batch Foundation Course in General Management for E5 Level Executives of NTPC
During the programme inaugural, Prof. Saroj Kumar Pani welcomed the dignitaries and the participants He underscored the importance of such training programmes that help them acquire new skills and improve their productivity and leadership abilities.
The chief guest for the occasion, Shri B Rama Rao, Chief General Manager (Finance) of NTPC-Simhadri, spoke about the importance of such training, which will allow them to make informed decisions. In addition, he emphasised the importance of "learning organisation" and change management. He concluded his speech by quoting a well-known poet and philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson, "If you plant a thought, you will harvest an action; if you plant an action, you will harvest a habit; if you plant a habit, you will harvest a character; and if you plant a character, you will harvest a destiny." Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director of IIM Visakhapatnam, also addressed the attendees and emphasised the significance of soft, system, and social skills, which enable managers to become leaders. Prof. Vishal Singh Patyal proposed the vote of thanks.
Now in its third run, this 6-day training course, scheduled between 30th January and 4th February 2023, is led by Prof. Saroj Kumar Pani and Prof. Prof. Vishal Singh Patyal. Combing fundamental competence-building techniques with advanced leadership aptitude, this programme is designed with the aim of preparing future leaders for the challenges of a highly volatile business environment. Twenty-six executives from NTPC Ltd. will participate in this program.
