Building the Young for the Future
The Nurturing Future Leadership Program (NFLP), a 5-day capacity-building initiative under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Program (MMTTP), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, successfully concluded at IIM Visakhapatnam.
The program saw participation from 27 faculty members, ranging from Principals to Professors and Deans from CFTIs and other institutes, and was led by Prof. M. Shameem Jawed and Prof. M. V. Anuradha.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, highlighted the five Fs critical to academic excellence: Funds, Facilities, Faculty, Future Assurance, and Fulfilling the Mandate.
Designed to enhance technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills, the program fosters self-awareness, contextual understanding, and leadership confidence. Prof. M. Chandrasekhar added that, beyond the program, IIM Visakhapatnam also extends its support to participants in developing research papers and creating case studies.
The sessions concluded with group presentations on real-world challenges, with two groups, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell and Value-Based Leadership Programs, receiving special recognition.
