IIM Visakhapatnam Celebrates the Valedictory of Its PG Certificate Program in General Management with Data Science & Analytics
IIM Visakhapatnam marked the successful completion of its 11-month Post Graduate Certificate Program in General Management with Data Science & Analytics, a unique program that bridges core management principles with advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making.
This year’s cohort brought together 31 professionals from diverse domains, creating a rich and collaborative learning community.
Valedictory Address by Prof. M. Chandrashekhar, Director, IIMV
Prof. Chandrashekhar inspired the participants with a powerful reminder about the three kinds of people we encounter in life: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, those who ask what happened.
He urged the cohort to strive to be in the first category, leaders and pioneers who shape outcomes rather than observe them.
He also drew from Norman Augustine’s celebrated Augustine’s Laws, reflecting on the insight that “a person’s biggest burden is his or her true potential.” He encouraged participants to keep pushing their boundaries and applying the program’s learnings to unlock that potential.
About the Program
Led by Program Directors Prof. Shivshanker Singh Patel and Prof. Anupama Sharma, the program offered an enriched curriculum combining managerial breadth with cutting-edge analytical depth.
