IIM Visakhapatnam hosts the PGPEx alumni and students interaction meet-26.03.2022

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) hosted the Post Graduate Program for Experienced Professionals (PGPEx) alumni-students-faculty interaction meet on Saturday at the campus.

The three batches were present for the alumni meet which also included the present batch. The PGPEx program chair Prof. Saroj Pani welcomed the chief guest Cmde. Hemant Khatri, Chairman and Managing director, HSL, faculty members and alumni. While giving the profile of the alumni, he mentioned that 30 percent of the PGPEx students are holding CXO positions across various private and public sector organisations. Speaking at the occasion Director of IIM V, Prof. M Chandrasekhar, spoke about how the PGPEx program enhances the participant’s knowledge in functional management domains and develops a better understanding of the demands and challenges faced in modern business organizations.

The chief guest Cmde. Khatri spoke about the importance of working out of the comfort zone and taking risks to achieve a greater goal and the importance of sustenance in today’s work forum.

Sharing the experience of the program, Ms. Suchitra Chitthuri, Sr. Manager at HPCL and the former PGPEx student spoke about how this rigorous program has enhanced her skills in the work domain leading to better productivity and efficiency. Another PGPEx alumni Mr. Abhishek Maiti, Manager, RINL spoke about his exciting PGPEx journey and said “This program enabled us to enhance our knowledge in various areas pertaining to finance, human resource management and many more. It also established a strong alumni network that we will benefit for life long”. Mr. Palash Sharma, a 2nd year PGPEx student also in Director’s merit list, said “it has been one of the best decisions of my life to enrol in the PGPEx program of IIMV. The peer learning has been phenomenal and very satisfying in addition to the amazing in-class experience created by faculty members”. Another alumni Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Head Projects at JSW Steels talked about how his 2 years journey during PGPEX program resulted into a great personal and professional  growth. He added “the program is so well structured that you can’t miss to notice every small to big efforts institute has made in curating it”. Mr. Kunal Ranjan, topper in first year, also joined and admired the world class facilities and faculty members of the institute.

Faculty members and director expressed their happiness in having met with the alumni and students on campus.
