“V-UNITE Delhi 2025” - Alumni Meet of IIM Visakhapatnam
V-Unite Delhi 2025, the much-awaited alumni meet of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV), was held at the elegant Magnolia Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The evening brought together the vibrant alumni community of IIMV in a spirit of connection, reflection, and celebration. The event was part of the Institute’s 10-year milestone series, celebrating a decade of growth, impact, and strong bonds shared with its alumni.
The gathering witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 50 alumni representing diverse programs of the Institute, including the flagship PGP (MBA), Executive MBA (EMBA), and various Executive Certificate Programs. Alumni from different batches and professional domains came together, making the event a lively platform for rekindling old friendships, sharing professional journeys, and exploring future collaborations.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Somashekara M N, In Charge - CDS & Alumni Relations, who underlined the Institute’s commitment to building a strong, engaged alumni network. He highlighted how alumni serve as the Institute’s brand ambassadors, contributing to its growth through mentorship, industry linkages, and knowledge sharing.
Prof. Shalini Agnihotri addressed the gathering with an overview of IIMV’s academic journey and the diverse programs offered by the Institute. She spoke about IIMV’s evolving role in equipping students and professionals with cutting-edge skills and leadership abilities while nurturing values that are essential in today’s business landscape. Her remarks emphasized the importance of alumni in sustaining the Institute’s momentum of excellence and innovation.
The Alumni Committee (2025-26) Mr.Rohan Nigam and Ms.Rashi Mishra presented an engaging summary of ongoing and upcoming alumni engagement initiatives. They showcased activities such as Samagam Talks, which invite alumni to share expertise with current students; the Alumshine series, celebrating alumni success stories; mentorship programs connecting alumni with over 250 students; and chapter-level V-Unite meets that have been successfully held in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The presentation reinforced the Institute’s efforts to expand the scale and scope of alumni involvement across geographies.
An ice-breaking session conducted by the Alumni Committee added energy and warmth to the evening. The activity encouraged alumni to interact beyond their immediate circles, sparking conversations and forging new bonds among participants from varied backgrounds and batches. The session set the tone for a vibrant and collaborative alumni community.
In his vote of thanks, Mr. Somashekara M. N. expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director; Prof. Happy Paul, Chairperson of CDS & AR; and Prof. Sumod S. D., Coordinator of CDS, for their guidance and support. He also thanked Prof. Shalini Agnihotri for agreeing to grace the occasion. Additionally, he expressed his appreciation to the Alumni Relations Office bearers and the Alumni Relations Committee for their effective planning and execution of the event. Mr. Somashekara thanked the alumni for their enthusiastic participation and acknowledged all contributors who helped organize the occasion.
