Mar-09-2026

Effective communication is the cornerstone of impactful science, successful collaboration, and professional growth in the research ecosystem. In today’s fast-evolving S&T landscape, scientists are expected not only to present their research clearly but also to influence policy, inspire teams, and engage meaningfully with diverse stakeholders—ranging from fellow researchers and industry partners to government bodies and the public
.
This 5-day capacity-building program is designed to strengthen the communication and interpersonal skills of scientists, equipping them with tools to lead projects, disseminate findings, and represent their institutions with confidence and impact.

Through interactive sessions, case discussions, role plays, and practical exercises, participants will:

  • Explore the dimensions of verbal and nonverbal communication in professional and scientific settings.
  • Master techniques for clear and persuasive scientific presentations—whether at conferences and academic forums.
  • Refine their scientific writing for journals, technical reports, grant proposals, and policy briefs.
  • Develop strategies to handle challenging discussions with collaborators, funders, and review committees with clarity and poise.
The program will also emphasize professional etiquette, cross-cultural awareness, and digital civility, enabling scientists to project a credible professional image in both national and international forums.
