Certificate Program in Strategic Investment Banking and Decision making
Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam is pleased to announce the launch of its online "Certificate Program in Strategic Investment Banking and Decision making”, in technical collaboration with marketing agency Intellipaat. This program provides a comprehensive foundation in financial analysis, corporate valuation, and investment banking. It is designed to equip learners with practical analytical skills, financial modelling techniques, and an understanding of capital markets and transactions, including M&A, private equity, and venture capital.
After completing the program, participants will be able to assess company performance, build financial models and apply valuation techniques to real-world business scenarios, understand investment banking processes, including deal execution and evaluate credit risk in M&A, PE, and VC transactions. During the inaugural session, Prof. Tamali Chakraborty, Program Director, welcomed the participants and provided an insightful overview of the program and the diverse profile of the participants. The cohort includes professionals from various sectors, including banking, finance, and accounting, with an average of 3 years of work experience.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dr B R Ambedkar Chair Professor and Dean Academics at IIM Visakhapatnam. Prof. Marisetty highlighted the role of the finance sector in the economy and how banking plays a significant role in the growth of real and financial assets. He also emphasised that investment bankers play a huge role in IPO, Valuations, Mergers and Acquisitions, and in turn build the economy.
At the end of the session, Prof. Monika Dhochak, Program Co-Director, expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest and the participants, emphasizing the significance of interactive learning within the program.
