Global Senior Leadership Program: Batch 1 Concludes on a High Note
The maiden batch of the Global Senior Leadership Program at IIM Visakhapatnam concluded with a campus immersion, marking the culmination of a year-long learning journey that enabled participants to build career capital, strengthen their competitive advantage, and expand their professional networks.
Led by Prof. Aalok Kumar and Prof. Amit Shankar, Program Directors, the programme offered a distinctive blend of 10 core modules and 6 C-suite specialization electives, along with a mandatory three-day global immersion in Dubai.
A unique component of the programme was its specialised leadership tracks aligned with key C-suite roles: Chief Executive Officer, Chief Business Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Technology Officer.
Addressing the participants as Chief Guest, Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, highlighted the Institute’s growing strength in executive education. He shared that in 2025-26, IIM Visakhapatnam conducted 132 executive education programmes, trained 6,200 participants, and delivered 3.35 lakh participant-hours of learning.
Encouraging participants to continue investing in their career capital, he emphasised that leadership and learning are indispensable to each other, and that the knowledge, skills, experiences, and networks built through such programmes remain valuable throughout one’s career.
A case booklet showcasing participants’ case studies was also unveiled during the valedictory session. Participants reflected on their learning journey, sharing experiences of career progression, including promotions, insights gained through their capstone projects, and the value of learning alongside an experienced peer cohort.
