IIM Visakhapatnam Concludes Batch 1 of the Executive Program in Generative AI for Business Leaders
The first batch of the Executive Program in Generative AI for Business Leaders at IIM Visakhapatnam concluded with a campus immersion and valedictory ceremony, marking the culmination of a learning journey designed to equip experienced professionals with AI-driven leadership capabilities.
Addressing the participants, Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, encouraged them to combine their hindsight with AI-driven insight to build better foresight. He emphasised the importance of drawing on professional experience and domain expertise to question AI outputs, guide responsible adoption, and create meaningful business value.
Led by Prof. Abhishek Srivastava and Prof. Amit Shankar, Program Directors, the programme explored the strategic, operational, and ethical dimensions of Generative AI. It helped participants connect emerging technologies with business strategy, competitive advantage, and organisational growth.
The cohort brought an average of 20 years of work experience. Participants explored GenAI through interactive sessions, case studies, simulations, expert interactions, and a capstone project. Sharing their experiences, participants said the programme helped them apply GenAI concepts to business challenges. It also strengthened their ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and drive innovation within their organisations.
