Workshop on Principles of FIDIC Contracts
The workshop on “Principles of FIDIC Contracts” is being conducted by IIM Visakhapatnam for the officers of the Directorate General Naval Projects (DGNP), Visakhapatnam.
This three-day capacity-building programme aims to enhance participants' understanding of international standards in contract management, with a specific focus on FIDIC contract forms widely used in infrastructure projects globally.
The workshop covers critical aspects such as the Red, Yellow, and Silver Book contract forms; Contractor’s and Employer’s Claims; Delay and Prolongation Claims; the role of experts; dispute resolution mechanisms; and commercial arbitration practices within the FIDIC framework. Through expert-led sessions, real-world examples, and interactive discussions, participants gain a deeper insight into effective infrastructure contract management practices aligned with global standards.
This program is particularly relevant for officers involved in defence infrastructure development, equipping them with the legal, procedural, and strategic understanding necessary for timely and efficient project execution under complex contractual environments.
