AI in Action: Agentic AI Hackathon at IIM Visakhapatnam
In a one-of-a-kind initiative, IIM Visakhapatnam has launched an Agentic AI Hackathon for its PGP and PhD students, offering them an opportunity to apply emerging technologies to real-world managerial and institutional challenges.
The initiative was inaugurated by Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dean (Academics), on 31 August 2026 and will culminate in the Final Hackathon Day on 25 October 2026. Working in teams of five, participants will develop solutions across 11 functional areas of the Institute and compete for cash prizes and certificates.
Participants will also engage with industry experts through sessions on Open-Source Agentic AI Platforms, Product Development using AI, and more. Shortlisted teams will receive access to the PwC platform to further develop and refine their solutions.
Through proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions, the hackathon aims to translate emerging possibilities into practical applications and build a repository of ideas for future teaching, research, and innovation at IIM Visakhapatnam.
