IIM Visakhapatnam Concludes SHODH SAMAGAM – 3: Management Doctoral Colloquium
IIM Visakhapatnam successfully concluded the 3rd edition of its Management Doctoral Colloquium, SHODH SAMAGAM, on April 18-19, 2026.
The event received 126 submissions, with strong participation from IIMs and IITs, and featured 24 paper presentations across diverse domains by scholars from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Udaipur, IIM Lucknow, IIM Mumbai, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Amritsar, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Indore, IIM Kashipur and others. The Scholars of IIM Visakhapatnam also presented their work during MDC.
The event commenced with a distinguished inauguration featuring a keynote address by Prof. Janat Shah, Former Director of IIM Udaipur and Member of the Board of Governors at IIM Visakhapatnam. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities for conducting research in Indian contexts. Prof. Amit Shankar, Dean Research Thanked Director Prof M Chandrashekhar for his exceptional support and all participants for making it a success!
A key highlight was the editorial talks by Prof. Sushil (Editor-in-Chief, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management) and Prof. Varsha Jain (Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Consumer Behaviour), offering valuable insights into publishing in top-tier journals. The colloquium also featured a PLS-SEM workshop by Prof. Amit Shankar.
Spanning diverse academic tracks including Finance & Accounting, Decision Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, and Strategy, the colloquium fostered deep intellectual exchange.
