IIM Visakhapatnam Hosts Alumni Meet - Hyderabad Chapter 2026 - V-Unite 2026
Hyderabad, 18th July 2026: The Alumni Committee of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam successfully hosted V-Unite 2026 – Hyderabad Chapter Meet at Radisson Hotel, Hyderabad, bringing together over 150 alumni from across the Institute’s diverse programmes, including PGP, EMBA, Executive Certification Program, PhD, and other programmes.
The Hyderabad Chapter Meet was part of IIM Visakhapatnam’s ongoing V-Unite 2026 chapter meet series, organized to celebrate the Institute’s 10-year journey and strengthen alumni engagement across cities. The event served as a vibrant platform for alumni to reconnect with the Institute, interact with fellow graduates, and engage with the evolving growth story of IIM Visakhapatnam.
The evening began with the welcome address by Prof. Sumod S D, Strategy Area and Coordinator-CDS&AR at IIM Visakhapatnam. He welcomed the alumni community and highlighted the importance of continued Alumni-Institute engagement in shaping the future of IIM Visakhapatnam
A key highlight of the evening was an insightful fireside chat on “Leading High Performance Innovation for Value Creation in Disruptive Environments” by Mr. Bhargav Gorti, Head of Global Delivery and Operations for Cybersecurity at Bosch Global Software Technologies and former Indian Navy Submarine Commander. The session was moderated by Prof. Gaurav Dilip Tikas, Entrepreneurship Area and Coordinator- Knowledge Series at IIMV, offered valuable perspectives on driving innovation, building high-performing organizations, and creating sustainable value while navigating disruptive business environments.
Following the fireside chat, the Alumni Committee presented updates on recent alumni activities, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming plans aimed at strengthening the alumni network and creating more meaningful engagement opportunities across chapters. The session reflected the committee’s continued efforts to build a strong, active, and connected alumni community.
The event also featured an address by Prof. Shameem Jaweed, Finance and Accounts Area and Director of IIMVFIELD, shared key updates from the Institute and spoke about IIM Visakhapatnam’s academic progress, IIMVField, Atal Incubation Centre, and Institutional developments, and future direction.
As part of the Institute’s decade celebration, the Alumni Committee also felicitated Mr. Sai Aditya Velichety, an alumnus from the Class of PGP 2015-17, the first batch of IIM Visakhapatnam. His presence added special significance to the evening, symbolizing the Institute’s journey from its founding batch to its growing alumni community across programmes and geographies.
To encourage interaction and networking among alumni from different batches and programmes, the Alumni Committee conducted an engaging Alumni Bingo activity. The activity added a lively and interactive element to the evening, helping alumni connect, exchange experiences, and build conversations in an informal setting.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr.Somashekara M N, Officer-Career Development Services & Alumni Relations, followed by a group photograph. The evening ended with a networking dinner, where alumni continued their conversations, shared memories, and strengthened their bond with the Institute and each other.
With enthusiastic participation from 150+ alumni, V-Unite 2026 Hyderabad Chapter Meet marked another successful step in IIM Visakhapatnam’s efforts to nurture lifelong alumni relationships and celebrate its growing community as the Institute completes a decade of excellence.
