IIM Visakhapatnam Hosts Alumni Chapter Meet: V-Unite 2026 in Pune
Pune, 31 October 2026: The Alumni Relations Office, with support from the Alumni Committee of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, had the privilege of hosting the Alumni Chapter Meet: V-Unite 2026 in Pune at the Hilton Garden Inn, Pune, bringing together alumni from across programmes and batches and students from hybrid degree-granting programs.
The chapter meet was part of the institute’s celebrations marking 10 years of IIM Visakhapatnam and provided a warm and engaging platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, meet fellow graduates, and celebrate the institute's journey and growing alumni community.
The evening began with alumni registration, followed by a warm welcome address from CDS and Alumni Relations Chairperson, Prof. Happy Paul, of IIM Visakhapatnam. He welcomed the alumni community and highlighted the importance of continued engagement between alumni and the institute in shaping the future of IIM Visakhapatnam.
A major highlight of the evening was an engaging fireside chat on “How Organizations Can Lead Innovation in Disruptive Environments,” featuring Mr Sarthak Agarwal, National Head - COE, Bajaj Finserv, in conversation with Prof. Gaurav Dilip Tikas, Coordinator, Knowledge Series. The discussion offered valuable perspectives on leading through change, fostering innovation, and helping organizations adapt and thrive amid an increasingly dynamic business climate. The interactive session allowed alumni to engage with contemporary ideas and reflect on the strategic opportunities presented by rapid transformation.
Following the chat, the Alumni Committee presented updates on recent activities, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming plans aimed at deepening engagement across chapters. The presentation highlighted how the network continues to foster cross batch connections, creating vibrant opportunities for professional networking, knowledge sharing, and institute collaboration underscoring the committee’s commitment to building a strong, active alumni community.
To infuse energy into the evening, the Alumni Committee facilitated an interactive Alumni Bingo activity. Crafted to spark active participation, the exercise enabled alumni to discover common ground, swap stories from their time at the institute, and build fresh professional and personal connections.
Following the interactive sessions, alumni gathered for a group photograph capturing the warmth and camaraderie of the evening. The formal proceedings were then brought to a close with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr Somashekara, Officer of the CDS & Alumni Relations Office, IIMV. The event concluded with a networking dinner, where alumni reconnected, shared memories, and forged lasting relationships in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
With over 70 alumni in attendance, the V-Unite 2026 – Pune Chapter Meet marked another significant milestone in IIM Visakhapatnam’s journey. The event reaffirmed the Alumni Relations Office and Alumni Committee’s dedication to nurturing lifelong relationships and creating meaningful platforms that unite the institute’s growing community.
