IIMV hosts ONOS training program in celebration of its 10Years Excellence in Management Education
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) organized a training program on One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) on 19 February 2026, in collaboration with Sage Publications, as part of the Institute’s 10 Years of Excellence celebrations. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 252 attendees, including principals, faculty members, research scholars, and students representing various ONOS member institutions in and around Visakhapatnam.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dr. Ambedkar Chair Professor and Dean (Academics), IIMV. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the transformative impact of ONOS in democratizing access to high-quality scholarly research. He noted that academic resources which were once financially restrictive are now accessible to a wider research community through this Government of India initiative. Dr. S. N. Vignesh, Senior Library and Information Officer, highlighted ONOS as part of the national vision to strengthen research and innovation, contributing to an “Aatmanirbhar” and “Viksit” Bharat by 2047.
The technical session was conducted by Mr. Manoj Gupta, Senior Training Manager and Analyst from Sage Publications. He provided a detailed demonstration of the ONOS platform, guiding participants on advanced search techniques, journal metrics, and effective strategies for identifying suitable publication outlets.
The valedictory session was presided over by Prof. Kaveri Krishnan, Dean (Administration), who felicitated the participating institutions. Prof. Prince Doliya, Chair of the Library Advisory Committee, emphasized the aim of promoting effective use of scholarly resources in line with the Government of India’s vision and delivered the vote of thanks.
