We are pleased to share that a research paper authored by Prof. Rona Elizabeth Kurian, titled "Sleep, Self and Screens: Unravelling the Psychological Architecture of Gen Z Phubbing Behaviour," has been accepted for publication in Acta Psychologica (ABDC: A, Scopus Q1).

Phubbing, the act of ignoring others by using a mobile phone during face-to-face interactions, has become increasingly common among Gen Z. The study examines the psychological factors underlying this behaviour, highlighting sleep quality as a key vulnerability. It also introduces the Cognition-Awareness Matrix of Phubbing, identifying four distinct phubbing profiles and offering insights for targeted interventions.

Congratulations to Prof. Rona Elizabeth Kurian and the co-author on this significant research achievement and contribution to the fields of psychology and digital behaviour.
