Workshop on ‘Bharati – Bahubhashi Anuwad Sarthi’ at IIM Visakhapatnam
A one-day workshop on ‘Bharati – Multilingual Translation Sarthi’ was organized at IIM Visakhapatnam by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in coordination with RINL. The workshop focused on promoting Hindi implementation and multilingual translation technologies.
The inaugural session on 07 April 2026 began with the National Anthem. Chief Guest Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, highlighted the importance of integrating language with technology.
Shri Anirban Biswas outlined the objectives, while Dr. Shashipal Singh (C-DAC, Pune) presented key insights on the platform. The PNB magazine “Visakha Vani” was also released. Shri H. T. Vasappa and Shri A. D. R. E. Shantaram were among the dignitaries present.
In the valedictory session, Shri Kaleem V. Khan emphasized the role of such initiatives in strengthening language–technology integration. The workshop concluded successfully with active participation, supported by NARAKAS (Undertakings, Banks & Insurance, and Central Government Offices).
