• Candidates should have opted for IIM Visakhapatnam during registration for CAT 2025, and Candidates should secure the minimum percentile mentioned in the Table below in each category in CAT 2025, to be shortlisted for Phase-1 of the admission process:

*These cut-offs are not for admission offers, but only for Phase 1 shortlist. The cut-offs for admission offer could be much higher.

It is strongly recommended to carefully read and understand the instructions provided in the application form. Avoid entering any details based on assumptions; ensure all information is accurate and factual. Double-check all entries before submitting the form, as modifications are not allowed after submission.

In Phase-2, among the application submitted candidates, a second shortlist will be announced for the personal interview stage based on the Pre-PI cut-offs. All the personal Interview shortlisted candidates should fill ‘Interview Consent form’. The Personal Interview will be scheduled to only those candidates who submitted the ‘Interview Consent form’ on the admissions portal within the stipulated time provided by IIMV.

• Candidates who have been shortlisted for Phase 2 of IIMV but have also been shortlisted (only for PGP/ PGPM Program 2025) by any one or more of the IIMs at Bangalore/Kozhikode/Indore/Lucknow will not have to appear for personal interview of IIM Visakhapatnam. The personal interview score at these IIMs will be considered by IIMV. Please note that in this case, the candidates shortlisted any one or more IIMs at IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Indore must attend the PI process at atleast one of these IIMs. Failure to do so will result in the candidate being marked as "Absent" for the IIM Visakhapatnam PGP 2026-28 admission process, and they will not be considered for further evaluation.
• Candidates who have been shortlisted for Personal Interview of IIMV but have not been shortlisted by any of the above IIMs (Bangalore/Kozhikode/Indore/Lucknow) will be required to appear for a Personal Interview to be conducted by IIM Visakhapatnam.

The subsequent stage of the admission process is Phase-3. During this phase, candidates shortlisted in Phase-2 will undergo evaluation using multiple criteria to determine a composite score. These multiple criteria/parameters include the components namely (a) CAT; (b) 10^th  Board; (c) 12^th Board; (d) Bachelors; (e) Gender Diversity; (f) Work experience or professional courses; (g)Personal Interview. Based on the composite score, a merit list will be generated for each category of candidates and the admission offers will be made accordingly as per the requirement.

You will need to pay an initial acceptance fee of INR 50,000/- (It is a part of the Term-1 fee). More details regarding the payment will be sent along with the admission offer letter.

Yes. IIM Visakhapatnam admissions office will provide the details of various banks offering Education loans to the PGP admission offered candidates along with the admission offer letter.

The program registration for the PGP 2026-28 batch at IIM Visakhapatnam is tentatively scheduled for the last week of June 2026.

The placement process at IIMV involves two parts:

1. Summer Placements for internships
2. Final Placements for full-time jobs.

It is managed by the Career Development Services (CDS) Office and the Student Placement Committee (SPC). The Recruitment process for both Finals and Summer Placements begin from September and go on till January.
